Nuta Beqsu Adenike Amen-Ra is my Full name. I became conscious of my Afrikan Culture during my early years growing up in a Military-Airforce family. I was born in England, raised on military bases, spent my adolescence in Germany, during the Sixties Black Power revolutionary movement. So, while I was subjected to white supremacy and racism in public schools, I was also surrounded by a nurturing cultural environment of Wonderful Music, Soul foods, language dialect, Afros and, Clothing to define a rich culture of Blackness. I was inspired by Malcolm X, as he was interviewed by caucasians about his Name:

Nuta Beqsu is my KaMaTa Name. Nuta Beqsu means (heaven gives me balance) representing my Destiny/ Purpose in my life path.  Nu, Nut, & Ta are Elemental powers of the Heavens: Nu is Atmosphere, Moisture, and Water. Nut is the Sky goddess. She represents the cosmos and the universe. The Universe is always giving birth to new solar systems and stars. Ta is the original word for land. Our land is our home, and the place for the empirical existence that we are experiencing. I seek to live in peace, a balance between planetary and heavenly existence. We are all connected to the land, trees, microcosm and macrocosm, Inner-verse, and universe. Nuta Beqsu (heaven gives me balance) will be programmed into conscious spirit, to produce thought sequences to direct a course of action as a way to achieve successfulness in life. Hand of Disease and Death

The HAND of DEATH and DISEASE

Afrikan Americans are dying at a higher rate than any other ethnic group, from stress-related, preventable diseases, caused by THE CHOICES THAT WE WILLINGLY FOLLOW AND PUT IN OUR OWN MOUTHS, AND FEED TO OUR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES EVERY DAY! I'm writing about our diets- the common western-roman-slave High Carbohydrate/ High Acidic diets, that the majority of people eat In the west. Although PTSD (Post Traumatic Slavery Disorders,) Pollution, Contamination, Poisons, and Drugs, in our air, water and food aren't enough, the normal day-in-day-out stresses from racism/ white Supremacy and disenfranchisement takes their toll on our bodies with excessive cortisol production, We still have choices, like our habits of diet and exercise, that we can choose and control!

American Afrikans have the highest rates of the following diseases, among the population of the U.S. (maybe even the rest of the world where we have assimilated western european culture.)
I list the 5 fingers on THE HAND OF DISEASE AND DEATH:

1. All Cancers,

2. Strokes,

3. type 2 Diabetes,

4. High-blood pressure

5. Heart attacks





The death rates of these diseases are more than Hate crimes, Black-on-Black homicide, police brutality killing, and war! These diseases are like a ball and chain, to an already stressful existence. Without a healthy disease-free lifestyle, one is bound to, and often at the mercy of, an often dysfunctional, surgery, radiation, and drug-pushing medical system. As we follow the highly commercialized junk food pushers, we are eating ourselves (and with our own hands serving to our children) a path to misery and an early grave. We often go to funerals for our loved ones and eat the same foods that killed their loved ones at repass.

Yes, All of these diseases are treated by medical doctors with surgery and long-term medications. I have concluded that the 5 diseases that I have listed, are caused  by stress based eating of Cancer and disease causing diet choices, lack of exercise, dehydration, and improper rest, that can be prevented by simply making healthy diet and exercise choices.

Many of our people live by a 2 fisted grip on death and disease on our family.

African Americans suffer disproportionately from several major health problems associated with high morbidity and mortality. The 1985 DHHS Secretary's Task Force Report on Blacks and Other Minorities identified six major disease categories of excess deaths for African Americans compared with whites by applying the lower death rate for whites to the American population. The report provided a stimulus for public and private action to begin to address the health disparities between minority and non-minority populations. This article examines three of the leading causes of death for African Americans and assesses the extent to which the health disparity between African Americans and whites has been reduced. An extensive list of barriers to reducing the disparity is presented from the scientific literature and strategies for reducing the three health problems are recommended.

That's the reason I became vegetarian. I found that our Beef livestock used to eat grass, nurse their own young, and roam the prairies as part of their natural habitat. Our Nubian Pastoral Ancestors from Afrika were the first to Corral and Herd animals through open prairies. -Now, these animals are artificially grown and live in containment factory structures - bred over and over again by the same siblings. Often this meat comes from devitalized clones, grown from stem cells. All of this "meat" (Pork, Beef, Chicken, and Fish) has been adulterated. These creatures eat pellets of the remains of their predecessors, that was scooped up from the slaughterhouse! They are injected with antibiotics and hormone growth accelerators. They stand all of their limited lives, on top of their own waste...They are bred through artificial insemination. They are never allowed to bond or see their offspring after they are produced or receive any kind of affection. (That is how many of our ancestors were treated too!)

I attribute a lot of our obesity and cholesterol problems to the consumption of too many processed Carbohydrates, in the form of Wheat and Corn, along with animal fats particularly lard found in pork. While many have argued in defense of pork consumption, (I'm sure that the pork industry has taken a severe blow from the "Swine Flu" coo) it has been quipped "God made everything!" and the notoriously misinterpreted "Arise Peter slay and eat." Yet, when it comes to the justification of serving this gall to our Afrikan families, please, let me ask you this;

Would you eat; decay, flies, cockroaches, maggots, scavengers, like vultures, hawks, hyenas & reptiles, plastic, poisons, acid, dirt, feces, rotting carcasses, the molding rotten fruits and vegetables? (God made these too!) Do you know that a diseased and worm-infested pig will eat this stuff and not even get sickened by it!

REMEMBER! THE SURVIVORS OF KATRINA--- who suffered from the 5 above diseases ---WERE LEFT TO DIE FOR LACK OF FRESH MEDICATIONS! For instance, when the supply of fresh insulin was unavailable to administer to a diabetic, Because of lack of electricity and refrigeration, these people were abandoned in the presence of medical staff, first aid, and emergency clinics, to transition, waste away, go into shock and die!

Here are some of the criminal, deadly contenders that we feed ourselves and our families every day:
Processed cane sugar
(fructose) -corn syrup (candy, sweets,)
ALL ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS!
Adulterated Animals: Pork, Beef, Chicken and fish consumption: processed meat, (sausage, bologna, hot-dogs, canned) butter, lard, whey, oils, (also found in lotions, hair care products, makeup and other cosmetics)
Processed devitalized, starched based carbohydrate, genetically modified grains- Corn and Wheat Flour gluten products - white flour, white rice
Highly acidic and nonnutritive filler "fake foods" also known as junk foods and "snacks", All highly preserved and processed foods and snacks with benzine and other preservatives
Milk (Puss!)- and processed dairy products - Butter, Cheese, Ice cream, whey, Yogurt, WE ARE NOT INFANT COWS!
Impure and acidic drinking water filled with fluoride, mercury, and lead= (unfiltered tap water)
Carbonated, sugary, and highly preserved beverages that mimic 100% fruit juice (What is "Cool Aid" anyway?!)
Alcoholic drinks
Microwaved and irradiated foods
Foods wrapped and contained in Aluminum, foam, and plastics (baby Bottles, Nipples, sippy cups, and plastic drinking bottles)
"Fast foods" with high levels of sodium and Acrylamide-
Remember that your biggest organ, the skin, and scalp- breathes and eats whatever topical product from the cosmetic industry, you put on it- namely petroleum Jelly, arsenic, formaldehyde,

Top Sources of Food Carcinogens:

• Any charred food - from burnt popcorn - to burnt toast, is highly carcinogenic.

• Meat in general (in terms of the fats associated) is carcinogenic, especially overcooked meat.

• Smoked/ roasted foods like soya, roasted corn, and grilled fish -heated with harmful materials such as tires, treated wood, polyethylene bags, rubber materials, etc.

• Acrylamide is found in browned foods like bread crust, toast, and broiled meats.

• Sugar is carcinogenic - whether white or brown. Instead of sugar, you can choose to substitute honey or Stevia leaves

• Stomach cancer is associated with high salt intake, with spicy foods and smoked food

• Sodas and Energy drinks are carcinogenic for a variety of reasons beyond their high sugar content and harmful additives.

• Artificial sweeteners, sucralose, and particularly aspartame, are carcinogenic
• Rancid and artificial Oils, are artificially filtered to remove the rancid spoiled taste. Cooking spray is made with patroleum distilliates 

• Excessive alcohol with so many preservatives is toxic

• Trans fats found in fries and snack chips are carcinogenic

• Microbial contaminants and toxins like aflatoxins found in Aspergillum infected nuts and seeds

• Chemical food additives (Artificial flavorants, colorants, preservatives) eg. nitrosamine which is a preservative is a cancer precursor

• Fluoride and Chloride and many other toxic chemicals and preservatives, found in most beverages and water is Carcinogenic. Question the water content of most beverages; they often use tap water to prepare at restaurants and commercial soft drinks.

Bes is the spiritual protector of the home and family The spiritual intuitive entity to ward of evil hostile energy from from your home, office or wherever it is present.

Over the last three years, I have worked with many of you individually to gain more Food Sovereignty for the residents of the East side of Kansas City.  Now I would like to present a funding stream here in Kansas City that can provide the necessary start-up funds for farms, community food projects, stipends for workers, infrastructure for existing pantries, land acquisition, or any other reasonable expenses to wash away any obstacle to producing healthy foods. I am in Oakland, California for the Community Food Security Coalitions with thousands of other in the country that realize we have to take the next step in the Food Movement.

With the announcement that Aldi will open in 2011, It was suggested that the Food Desert in East Kansas City, MO will be eliminated.  Unfortunately, the definition of having a grocery store within a mile (12 city blocks) is woefully inadequate to address the nutritional challenges of low income and high health risk residents.  Several organizations have convened groups to define solutions:

He makes a profound statement about the most overlooked and under-served people of the world.

“Honeywell” by Cherith Brook is a protest march manifesto! With the backing of a full brass & drum corps, he sings with clever sarcasm in support of the ongoing advocates, activist, and protesters like the KC Peace Planter member, Sasteh Mosley (a Nuclear Conversion Activist/Speakers Bureau Lecturer) and other poisoned Workers from Kansas City's nuclear weapons plant.

Dirty D is a spoken word artist who espouses the many sentiments of the disenfranchised people who dwell in Urban Kansas City with the weavings of the excerpts of “The Community Update,” “Recess,” and “Power and Lights Out.”

Artists, SAHJ Kaya and Divine Intervention, add their energy with a Reggae flavor in “Nuclear Weapons.” She rages- “RAY-GUN! what you testin for?!!!” while “Political Strings” moves with spirit and a jazzy backup.

Other contributing artists; Priest Hughes and 337 as The Recipe – create a poignant brew with their clever spoken word juxtapositions against nuclear weapons with: “Self destruction,” and the downsizing of education with: “Parent Teacher Conference”… Their climax selection is my favorite, “What Happened to Hip Hop?!” This is the most Jammin Jewel of the CD for me! The Recipe told the truth about the greed, materialism that consumed and diluted the quality of the Hip Hop movement! A griot or jeli (djeli or djéli in French spelling) the griot is a repository of oral tradition, a West African storyteller. The griot delivers history as a poet, praise singer, and wandering musician. As such, they are sometimes also called bards. [the griot] has to know many traditional songs without error, he must also have the ability to extemporize on current events, chance incidents and the passing scene. His wit can be devastating and his knowledge of local history formidable." Although they are popularly known as 'praise singers', griots may also use their vocal expertise for gossip, satire, or political comment. Most villages also had their own griot, who told tales of births, deaths, marriages, battles, hunts, affairs, and hundreds of other things.

Griots — masters of words and music, Griots and Griottes — have been around for a millennium. the male griots and female griottes were historians, genealogists, advisers to nobility, entertainers, messengers, praise singers — the list goes on. Today, they perform on television and radio and record CDs. Many are popular singers who reinterpret traditional songs, giving new meaning to old words — As performers, griots and griottes are in great demand, not only for ceremonies and parties in West Africa, where they have traditionally appeared, but all around the world. Bes: An Icon and symbol- Representing the Presence of Africa in All Continents

Bes (also spelled as Bisu) was a Twa/ Nubian/Kemetic(Egyptian) deity/Icon, celebrated in history Throughout the planet. I would like to cite that this icon is an example of the presence of Afrika and Afrikan peoples all over the diaspora.  Bes is known as a protector of the households. She/He was always present around mothers and children. Over time she was regarded as the protector and defender of all that is good and the enemy to all that is bad. It is theorized that the icon Bes came from the Great Lakes Region of Africa, coming from the Twa people in Congo or Rwanda. The ancient Twa were about the same height as the depictions of Bes.

Mainstream historians never credited the Saharan for domesticating the horse and inventing the plow and chariot, yet Basil Davidson shows Africans migrating from the Sahara to West Africa and the Nile Valley.

Modern scholars such as James Romano demonstrated that in its earliest inceptions, Bes was a representation of a lion rearing up on its hind legs. After the Third Intermediate Period, Bes is often seen as just the head or the face, often worn as amulets." Dawn Prince-Hughes lists Bes as fitting with other archetypal long-haired Bigfoot-like figures from ancient Northern Africa, "a squat, bandy-legged figure depicted with fur about his body, a prominent brow, and short, pug nose."

Iconography

Images of this deity were often kept in homes and was depicted quite differently from the other gods. Normally Egyptian gods were shown in profile, but instead Bes appeared in portrait, ithyphallic, and sometimes in a soldier's tunic, so as to appear ready to launch an attack on any approaching evil.

Bes was a household protector, throughout ancient Egyptian history becoming responsible for such varied tasks as killing snakes, fighting off evil spirits, watching after children, and aiding (by fighting off evil spirits) women in labour (and thus present with Taweret at births).

Since she drove off evil, Bes also came to symbolize the good things in life - music, dance, and sexual pleasure. Later, in the Ptolemaic period of Egyptian history, chambers were constructed, painted with images of Bes and his wife Beset, thought by Egyptologists to have been for the purpose of curing fertility problems or general healing rituals.

Many instances of Bes masks and costumes from the New Kingdom and later have been uncovered. These show considerable wear, thought to be too great for occasional use at festivals, and are therefore thought to have been used by professional performers, or given out for rent.

Like many Egyptian gods, the worship of Bes was exported overseas, and she, in particular, proved popular with the Phoenicians and the ancient Cypriots.

The cult of Saint Bessus in northern Italy may represent the Christianization of the cult associated with Bes; St. Bessus was also invoked for fertility, and Bessus and Bes are both associated with an ostrich feather in their iconography."

I noticed the similarities of the names of Bes and Basil. Our Ancestors have often hidden our knowledge in children's stories and characters to engage our memories to hold onto and "Re-Member" wisdom. The similarities in the spiritual properties found in the old knowledge of herbs and their medicinal and healing applications were often the only remedies for people with no access to doctors or hospitals. These characters represent our mother's wisdom that was passed down from generation to generation.

Pepy II's letter to Herkuf

A fourth, unnarrated, campaign to the land of Yam must have taken place, during which Harkhuf sent a letter to the young king Pepi II to inform him, particularly, that he was bringing back a pygmy, which resulted in the rest of the inscription. In fact, Pepi II wrote a letter in reply to that of Harkhuf, who was so proud of it that he had the text inscribed on the façade of his tomb in Aswan. Since little space remained, he had to prepare a space for it at the extreme right of the façade. Thus, the only complete royal letter dating from the old Kingdom has reached us.:

You said in your letter that you were bringing back all sorts of presents, important and beautiful, which Hathor, lady of Imaou, gave for the ka of the king of Upper and Lower Egypt, Neferkare- may he live eternally and forever! You also say in your letter that you will bring back a pygmy (for) the dances of the God and coming from the land of the inhabitants of the horizon and similar to the pygmy which the treasurer of the God, Bawerded brought back from Punt in the time of the king Isesi. cartouche of king Djed-Ka-Re (Isesi)

You also say to My Majesty: never before has such a (pygmy) been brought back by any of those who have visited the land of Yam. It is said that, each year, you accomplish that which your royal Lord wishes and praises. You pass your days and your nights thinking of doing that which your Lord wishes, praises and commands. So My Majesty will act such that the numerous and excellent honours which are yours shall also please the sons of your son for eternity and that men will say, when they hear what my Majesty has done for you“ is there any parallel to that which was done for the Sole Companion Harkhuf when he came back from the land of Yam, because of the diligence with which he carried out that which his Lord wished, praised and commanded.?”

Come back, then, to the north, to the Residence. Leave (everything) and bring with you the pygmy which you have brought from the land of the inhabitants of the horizon, alive, in good health and strong so that he may dance for the God and make cheerful and rejoicing the heart of the king of Upper and Lower Egypt, Neferkare- may he live eternally!

If you come with him in the ship, set well-advised men about him on both sides of the boat and take care that he does not fall in the water. If he lies down to sleep during the night, have wise men to sleep beside him in his tent; go and check, ten times in the night. Because My Majesty wishes to see this pygmy more than all the tributes of Sinai or Punt.

The many stories and fables of Gnomes, Fairies, Trolls, Leprechauns, and little people, are often the depictions of the presences of Ancient Twa Peoples who remained in Europe.

The First Elves

Zwarte Piet/ Pieten(Black Pete) is a character who has deep roots in traditional Dutch and Netherlands folklore. He appears in The Netherlands as a Spanish Moor (common to southern Holland in the 1500s), in caricature, as a Black man, with gold earrings and colorful period costumes of a Spanish Moor.

The story goes that Zwarte Piet chose to work with Saint Nicholas as his Navigator, Weather Forecaster, Time/Space Continuum Engineer and magical accompaniment. Since the 18th century in Holland, he has been depicted as a companion to Saint Nicholas in all of his holiday travels. Zwarte Pieten is today commonly depicted as a black person in the colorful pantaloons, feathered cap and ruffles of a Renaissance Moor, This character and tradition was later recorded in a children's book published in 1850. Zwarte Pieten is often portrayed as a mischievous but rarely mean-spirited character, the character is believed to have been derived from Bes the spirit pagan after his traditions. Nowadays, Zwarte Pieten has become a much more respected assistant of Saint Nicholas, still often humorous, self-determined, magical and playful. 

Currently, the media is presenting articles about the many Black people who are protesting the public displays of Zwarte Piet by Dutch people wearing "blackface" and Moorish styled costumes. So now the Dutch, meet Globalization –We now exist in a global world and that means we have to expand our knowledge about other cultures and peoples that make up diverse societies. The festival of Black Pete does, appear to be the glaring elephant in the room in the face of the invasion of South Africa by the Dutch!.. I now reflect back as a child living in Germany, people were so fascinated by us when they saw us at public Shopping districts. They would sometimes approach me and touch my skin… Seeing us must have brought back childhood memories of Black Pete. Understanding that the depiction of Moors and Moorish people in Europe has been slanted as one of servitude, now there are more Black citizens in Europe that live as equals and in authority, all over Europe.

The History of the Moors in Spain goes back to a successful harmony of rulership for almost 1000 years.

Black Europeans were actually still in existence, living as Original peoples, up to their discovery by Nazis, who gave them the choice of sterilization or incarceration in a death camp.
Actually, Black Pete was free to voluntarily work with Sinter Klass. He had the upper hand over his counterpart and was the essential agent in the success of this operation for children. Yet the perpetuation of the depiction of servitude, (which reinforces the idea that Black people should be always in that role,) together with the horrible history and tradition of blackface in the US, means that it is time to revisit some of the old traditions and change them. It does matter that the tradition of blackface was most prominent and therefore most hurtful in the United States. But as with all things, we must find the balance between honoring what is important and adapting to the need to respect the human dignity of all. If we wish to remember or honor the tradition of "Black Pete", then let him be portrayed by willing black actors/celebrants and as the willing friend of Sinterklaas that he is, and not a comic figure, slave or buffoon. I know that he has been portrayed by the Dutch for countless generations in blackface, as a celebration for the children, of a long-forgotten historical person, most likely a Moor. However, the time for blackface anywhere has come to an end.

Easter The Real Meaning of the Festival of Spring

Easter- The East-Star Festival of Renewal

The Holy day of the East-Star was originally a celebration of renewal and rebirth for original people and ancient Ancestors. We are The Children of the Sun, the burnt skinned people known as KMT. As with most of our holidays, the celebration of life  is prominent. Our ancestors Were Agriculturalist, Builders, Hunters, Explorers, Merchants, Spiritual Travelers and stewards of the planet. Celebrating the return of early spring, honors the Mother Nature goddess known in many cultures as Ast or Auset(Isis) Ma, Eostra, Oestera, Eastre(Esther), Ishtar, Oshun, Yemaya, Het-Heru, Hathor, Aurora, or Adonis... 

Although every morning the sun "Ra" rises in the east, Easter occurs after the Vernal Equinox event on the 1st Sunday after the full moon.

In Ancient African Societies, The pregnant mothers were thought to have conceived their Children from Ra the Sun.  Goddess Auset was the first Queen Mother to experience  immaculate conception. Her husband was killed by his jealous Brother, so she had to resurrect her husband's energy after his death. Her Son- Heru was also considered the Rising Sun and the Son of the Sun (Nsdbity). 

Watching the cycles of Nature one sees that Ra the sun, Tefnut- air, atmosphere, and Nu- rain brings life to Geb- Earth, so ancient cultures saw, Nut as Heaven, and Ma as Earth Mother.

Nut the Celestial sky goddess, swallows Ra the sun at dusk and gives birth to the sun at dawn daily. Throughout the night there is a battle between Heru and his infamous Uncle Set or Sebek for the conquest of Light and Enlightenment. Every morning Heru-(Later known as Horus or Hero- and even later forms of KRST throughout the world) Becomes the victor to raise the sun with the help of Tehuti, Auset and Ausar!

  
There is a whole pantheon of stories related to the Celestial and seasonal events. The Spring is one of these joyous occasions.

Earth has been referred to as Mother since ancient times as “Mother Earth” and “Mother Nature.”

Another symbol of spring and renewal, was the Scarab Beetle (khepera) (Scarabaeus sacer). This beetle was famous for his habit of rolling balls of dung along the ground and depositing them in its burrows. First, the female would lay her eggs in the ball of dung. When they hatched, the larvae would use the ball for food. When the dung was consumed the young beetles would emerge from the hole.

It seemed that the young scarab beetles emerged spontaneously from the burrow where they were born. Therefore they were worshiped as "Khepera", "he who came forth." This creative aspect of the scarab was associated with the creator god Atum. Millions of amulets and stamp seals of stone, ceramic or other materials, were fashioned in the depiction of the scarab beetle.

The ray-like antenna on the beetle's head and its practice of dung-rolling caused the beetle to also carry solar symbolism. The scarab-beetle god Khepera was believed to push the setting sun along the sky in the same manner as the beetle with his ball of dung. In many artifacts, the scarab is depicted pushing the sun along its course in the sky.

During and following the New Kingdom, scarab amulets were often placed over the heart of the mummified deceased. These "heart scarabs" (such as the one pictured above) were meant to be weighed against the feather of truth during the final judgment. The amulets were often inscribed with a spell from the Book of the Dead which entreated the heart to, "do not stand as a witness against me."

The union of the Sun-Ra and Auset brought forth a son Heru symbolic of abundant crops, as the rains from the sky met the welcoming earth. Festivals like “The Marriage Feast of Canaan” were Spring fertility rites in ancient times which celebrated Pregnancy, the dawn of spring and fertility. The dawn of the Sun Star was in the east, so Sunrise celebrations centered on growth and renewal were celebrated. Growers celebrated to petition for abundant crops, and eggs were eaten and exchanged as talismans.

 Easter is exceptional depending on where you live in proximity to the Equator. There are only 3 seasons, instead of 4 for those living near the equator.

Other Names of Spring Goddess:

With brightening and longer days after vernal equinox,  was known as the Great Mother Goddess of the North in Europe. She is a goddess of dawn and spring, and her name derives from dawn, the light arising from East. The word, East and the female hormone, estrogen is related to her.

Eastre’s male consort was Ra (the Sun god), and rites of spring were celebrated in her honor on the first day of spring. Celebrations were on the first full moon following vernal equinox. The full moon represents a “pregnant” phase of Eastre, passing into fertility to give birth to the Sun’s offspring.

“Eastre” is derived from the direction East, and the Spring Goddess is associated with dawn. Eastre is related to the Indo-European Hausos, Goddess of dawn, and the Roman and Greek Goddesses, Aurora and Eos. In German Austron means dawn, derived from Aus, “to shine.” The ancient word for Spring was Eastre, and Goddesses in many cultures are celebrated as the bearer of springtime. Many Goddesses and Gods are represented as spring deities:

The Middle East celebrate many Spring festivals, including the Iranian Nowruz, ascension of the mythological king of Persia. Commemorated by Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, India, Turkey, Zanzibar, Albania, Kurds, and central Asia, it is a Zoroastrian holiday, and celebrated by Baha’i’ and Nizari Ismaili Muslims.

Sham El Nessim has been celebrated since 2700 B.C. the ancients celebrated this creation story with a feast at the Great Pyramid. The feast of Shemu, means ‘renewal of life’ later changed to Shu/‘shaam’ (smelling or breathing) and ‘nessim’ (breeze). Sham El Nessim is celebrated as a national holiday, and is celebrated by Christians and Muslims as “Easter Monday”.

Rabbits & Eggs

Easter represents renewal and fertility. Eggs and rabbits were considered sacred. Rabbits are potent symbol of fertility, as a female rabbit can conceive a second litter while still pregnant with the first! 

The Earth in Spring is filled with fertility and awakening. Many people Bless their homes, Newborn Babies and get married during this season and many children are born during this time. The egg is an obvious symbol, of rebirth since ancient times. The hare was a sacred animal of the Spring Moon. At vernal equinox an egg, is the symbol of New Life.

In current times Easter is just another re-enactment ritual for the massacre of our Sacred Indigo Queen Mother Womb- of Mankind and our Black Indigo KRSTal Children in Europe! This is why they "hunt" for Chocolate and "Colored" Eggs! The 3 day Je-w+Zeus death/ crucifixion and resurrection reenactment was thrown in to exacerbate the ongoing lynching of people of color and to promote the inception of terror to maintain the status quo of slavery.

Remember that many people were killed or executed by lynching at that same site; Golgotha or Calvary, and on that same day, he didn't die alone. This was a ritual site for human sacrifice. Many people have been and are still being terminated even though they are innocent of any crime. They become martyrs for a cause. Lynching is crucifixion. Public Execution is now done by  the officers of another unjust system who choose to also act as judge and jury and their method of choice is a gun.

Our Mother Earth

Earth is referred to as Mother since ancient times: “Mother Earth” and “Mother Nature.” Watching the cycles of Nature one sees that rain falling brings life to Earth, so ancient cultures saw Father as Heaven, and Earth as Mother.

The union of the Sun-Ra and Auset brought forth the immaculate conception of a son Heru symbolic of abundant crops, as the rains from the sky met the welcoming earth. Festivals like “The Marriage Feast of Canaan” were Spring fertility rites in ancient times which celebrated Pregnancy. Many families would marry during this celebration.

Sunrise celebrations centered on growth and renewal. Growers celebrated to petition for abundant crops, and eggs were eaten and exchanged as talismans.

So essentially Easter is the celebration of the fertile womb and the lunar menstrual cycle. Easter was not always celebrated as the Ascension Christ from the dead; the meaning of Easter was quite different from what Christians celebrate today. Long before the name of Jesus, many peoples associated this festival with the coming back to life of the god of the earth Ta-mmuz (see Ezek 8:14,) also known as Geb, Ausar, Adonis Orpheus or Perseus, who had been dead in the underworld during the winter to rise in the spring. The name by which Christians still celebrate the festival is the name of the ancient fertility goddess Eastre, Ishtar, Auset, or Ashtoreth (whose name also survives in the name of one of the books of the Old Testament, the only Bible book that contains no reference to God - the Book of Esther).

Ausar is considered the god who conquered the underworld. Heru, the first to be born by Immaculate conception from Auset, Is considered to be the reborn sun in the east. 

Easter was originally (and still is) a celebration of the fertility of the earth, renewed each springtime. The egg, the chick, the rabbit, the flowers, are all fertility symbols (and much older than this latest Christian symbol). Its celebration has often been marked by sexual exuberance, pregnancy and new birth, as is still prominent in the pre-Lenten Carnivals and Mardi Gras festivals and the phallic symbolism of the May pole and the cross. Easter was celebrated as a time of new life, Beauty, sunshine, and birth. So Jesus (in the Christian version of the myth) is just the latest in a long line of gods to symbolize new life through resurrection.

The precise date of Easter has at times been a matter for contention. By the later 2nd century, it was accepted that the celebration of the holiday was a practice of the disciples and an undisputed tradition.

The First Council of Nicaea (325) established the date of Easter as the first Sunday after the full moon (the Paschal Full Moon) following the March equinox. Ecclesiastically, the equinox is reckoned to be on 21 March. So Easter is a movable feast, meaning it is not fixed on the calendar.  In Western Christianity, he date of Easter varies from 22 March to 25 April inclusive. churches in and around Rome observed the practice of celebrating Easter on the following Sunday calling it “the day of the resurrection of our Savior.”

 Eastern Christianity bases its calculations on the Julian calendar, whose 21 March corresponds, during the 21st century, to 3 April in the Gregorian calendar, and in which therefore the celebration of Easter varies between 4 April and 8 May. Initially, in the early days,

 The specific day on which the resurrection should be celebrated became a major point of contention within the church.

 If his resurrection symbolizes the eternal life that is granted to all who believe in Him, when was he crucified- To rise again in three days? Did he rise on the Sabbath or the first day of the week?

 It is the central tenet of Christian faith and theology and part of the Nicene Creed: "On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures.” The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the centerpiece of the Christian faith, according to the Apostle Paul, who even says that if Jesus Christ has not been resurrected then the Christian faith is worthless and futile (1 Cor. 15:14-17). Therefore, without Easter there is no Christianity.

 Historically, the Christian church, because it could not eradicate the celebration of what was considered a Pagan festival, reinterpreted it and assigned to it a new meaning, but was unable to erase completely its original significance. The egg and the rabbit,  and the phallic pole, has persisted to be loved and celebrated as the new life which the spring brings.

At Amen Par Ankh We celebrate The Vernal Equinox as the ending of winter. Now the Days will be longer and the nights will grow shorter until the Summer Solstice. We begin planting during the First New Moon. This is a time when we Glean new life and Ground  from the soft land, Sprout fresh seeds for planting and sun-gaze to reset our 3rd eye from the winter.
